CEC General Secretary Dr Jørgen Skov Sørensen conveys congratulations to Bishop Ioakim of Apollonia on his ordination. His Grace will be serving the Metropolis of Belgium as assistant bishop. The CEC general secretary participated in the consecration on 26 January at the Cathedral of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel in Brussels.

His Eminence Metropolitan Kyrillos of Kifissia presided over the Orthros service whereas His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium presided over the Archieratic Divine Liturgy, which was celebrated with the participation of several church leaders, including His Eminence Porphyrios of Neapolis, member of the CEC Governing Board.
