CEC President Rev. Christian Krieger and CEC General Secretary Dr Jørgen Skov Sørensen share Christmas greetings affirming hope in Christ’s birth.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.” John 1:5
Once again our calendar invites us to await Christmas, to enter the special time when Christians rejoice across the globe, preparing to celebrate the birth of Christ.
At the arrival of this special time, we are grappling with a pandemic that continues to challenge the frailty of our modern world. Our vulnerabilities, loss and deprivation are all the more present among us.
However, the Christmas Gospel beautifully reflects how God welcomes our fragility and vulnerability, just as our saviour was born into our world as an infant, reliant on the love and care of others.
May Christ‘s birth inspire hope in all of us. May it bring peace to our hearts, lighten our minds, and guide our steps towards those who need our love and care.
